Membership
South Flowers is a Cannabis Harm Reduction Association licensed in Malta under licence number 007. Membership is not a subscription to a shop: it makes you part of a not-for-profit association that grows cannabis on behalf of its members, within the limits set by Maltese law.

South Flowers is licensed for 500 members — the maximum any association in Malta can have, which makes us one of the largest on the island — and every one of those places is currently filled. New places only open when existing members leave. Register your interest on the waiting list and we contact people in the order they signed up.

- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must be resident in Malta, and present an identity card or residence card issued by the Maltese Government as proof of residence.
- You may belong to only one Cannabis Harm Reduction Association at a time.
- Tourists and visitors cannot join. This is not our policy but Maltese law: associations may only serve residents.
What the law allows
Malta was the first country in Europe to regulate cannabis associations. The framework is strict and the same for every association on the island:
- A member may collect a maximum of 7 grams of cannabis flower per day.
- A member may collect a maximum of 50 grams per month.
- Each association may have a maximum of 500 members.
- Separately from membership, adults in Malta may cultivate up to four plants per household for personal use.
Associations are non-profit and may not advertise, promote consumption, or sell to the general public. That is why this website exists to inform rather than to sell.
What membership costs
Five euro a month, and that’s it. We keep it simple: monthly only — no quarterly or yearly packages — and you renew in person when you collect, so there’s nothing to set up and nothing quietly renewing itself in the background.
Products then carry their own contribution per gram, with a range that works for every budget: from €7 for our flower, which is always premium (we don’t distribute trim), up to our piattella and resin. Contributions cover cultivation, testing, our events — always free for members — and the running of the association. South Flowers is non-profit, so everything goes back into the plant.
How to join
- Register your interest. Fill in the waiting list form with your name, contact details and proof that you are a Maltese resident.
- Wait for a place. We contact people in the order they signed up, as places become available.
- Come in and register. Bring your Maltese ID card or residence card. We complete your membership in person, explain how collection works and answer your questions.
- Collect. Members collect in person during opening hours, within the daily and monthly limits above, and renew the monthly membership at the same time.
Collecting from us
Our premises are at Triq San Tumas 268, Fgura FGR 1609, Malta. We are open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00, and closed on Sunday. Bring your ID every time: we are required to verify it at each collection.
What you collect is tested
Every strain and every batch is analysed by an independent, certified laboratory in Malta before it reaches a member, and a batch is only released once it’s certified. Ask at the club and we’ll show you the tests for what you’re collecting. More on how we test.
Harm reduction is the point
Harm reduction isn’t small print on our licence — it’s the whole idea. Cannabis carries risks; anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something. Nobody at South Flowers earns more if you consume more, and it shows in how we work: clean, tested flower, clear information, and people you can actually talk to about your own use — whether that’s picking a lighter strain or cutting back. We’d rather have that conversation than avoid it.
